‘Social disorder’ - not crime - keeps Greater Sudbury Police officers busy

Calls for service to the Greater Sudbury Police Service are up, Chief Sara Cunningham said this week, but most of those calls do not pertain to criminal offences. Perhaps not so surprising, it is social disorder — Cunningham called it the trifecta of mental illness, addiction and homelessness — that is currently responsible for most police work.
