In a column published today ahead of Shavuos, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who is also the chairman of the Religious Zionism Party, examined the interconnection between the giving of the Torah, the offering of bikkurim, and Jewish settlement in Israel. Smotrich contended that while some might see these elements as distinct aspects, they actually serve as a unified representation of the relationship among the Jewish people, the Torah
