Smoke near Putnam sheriff’s office came from nearby fire
OTTAWA — Putnam County fire and EMS crews put out a rubbish fire at Verhoff Alfalfa Mills on Monday night. Crews initiatlly responded to a call from the Putnam County Jail as deputies smelled smoke from the nearby fire. Fire Crews Respond To Sheriff’s Office To Investigate Smoke Smell
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says the fire department and EMS were dispatched to the sheriff's office for the smell of smoke Monday night.
