The death of Sergeant Moshe Yitzhak Hacohen Katz of New Haven, Connecticut, left not only his family but an entire community in the US broken and in pain. • "When we heard how he gave his life, we told ourselves that it just works out - that's just how he grew up, to run and help," community members said of him.
Moshe Katz was born in the United States, but he decided to join the Israel Defence Forces, where he was headed south of Lebanon. He died in battle, less than a year after leaving the life he had to fight.
