The roundtable will review progress in six cooperation areas and pursue new investment, trade and technology partnerships, officials said.

  • On Wednesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Singapore leading a ministerial delegation for the 4th India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable , accompanied by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada.
  • Established in 2022, the ISMR serves as a high-level economic mechanism between India and Singapore, focusing on six pillars including advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, healthcare, medicine, skills development, and sustainability to strengthen the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
  • Singapore is India's largest trading partner in ASEAN, with annual investments ranging between USD 10 billion and USD 15 billion over the past 10 years; in 2024-25, India's imports reached USD 21.2 billion while exports totaled USD 14.4 billion.
  • The fourth India-Singapore Business Roundtable will convene alongside the ministerial meeting, with deliberations driving the roadmap for the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
  • Scheduled for August 19-20, 2026, the roundtable enables both sides to review ongoing initiatives and identify avenues to strengthen collaboration in trade, investment, advanced manufacturing, and digitisation as ministers interact with Singaporean counterparts and leadership.
