Signal announced the progressive deployment of its new encryption protocol, the "Triple Ratchet", designed to withstand future quantum computer attacks. This major update, called SPQR, aims to counter the threat of "harvest now, decipher later" and deploys seamlessly for users.
The Messenger adds a new component to its Double Ratchet process, so that even future quantum computers cannot crack communication.
