Signage installed atop Wells Fargo building in Uptown
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- City officials are adding the signage to the top of the Wells Fargo building on Sunday morning. Crews started around 7:30 a.m. on Father's Day, picking up the 14-foot letters with a helicopter from a nearby empty construction area. Officials said the work should be done within the day. Helicopters were used to lift the 14-foot-tall letters to the top of the former Duke Energy tower. The sign will undergo several weeks of testing before being officially turned on.
