- On Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, Texas-based open-ear audio pioneer Shokz announced the launch of OpenRun Air 2 and OpenFit Air 2, two new products designed to bring open-ear comfort and awareness to a broader range of consumers.
- Vincent Xiong, CEO of Shokz North America, said the models "reflect our continued commitment to making open-ear listening more accessible," aiming to make movement feel "open, comfortable and effortless" for more people.
- Weighing 26.4g, the OpenRun Air 2 is over 9% smaller than the original and features a 10-hour battery life—25% longer than its predecessor—with an IP67 rating protecting against sweat and rain.
- The OpenFit Air 2 earbuds weigh 7.2g each and feature the patented Bassphere driver with OpenBass 2.0 algorithm, delivering up to 8 hours per charge and 36 hours total with the charging case.
