Shokz Introduces OpenRun Air 2 and OpenFit Air 2, Expanding Its Bone Conduction and Open-Ear True Wireless Lineups
Shokz says the new models are lighter and more compact, with OpenRun Air 2 adding USB-C charging and 10 hours of battery life.
On Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, Texas-based open-ear audio pioneer Shokz announced the launch of OpenRun Air 2 and OpenFit Air 2, two new products designed to bring open-ear comfort and awareness to a broader range of consumers.
Vincent Xiong, CEO of Shokz North America, said the models "reflect our continued commitment to making open-ear listening more accessible," aiming to make movement feel "open, comfortable and effortless" for more people.
Weighing 26.4g, the OpenRun Air 2 is over 9% smaller than the original and features a 10-hour battery life—25% longer than its predecessor—with an IP67 rating protecting against sweat and rain.
The OpenFit Air 2 earbuds weigh 7.2g each and feature the patented Bassphere driver with OpenBass 2.0 algorithm, delivering up to 8 hours per charge and 36 hours total with the charging case.
Both products will be available on Aug. 27 for $130. Shokz, recognized by Omdia as the world's leading open-ear headphones brand, continues advancing open-ear audio technology for everyday consumers.
Shokz launches the OpenFit Air 2, lighter, more durable, and more comfortable than the previous generation. Furthermore, this new model is said to offer improved sound quality.
