JEFFERSON — The Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office continues to work with agencies on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border to return Ashley Keenan, 32, to face charges of killing her mother, Krystyna “Krisia” Keenan, 60.

Mitchell County Sheriff's Department seeks public assistance in fire investigation

On Monday morning, Feb. 12, 2024, a Mitchell County Sanitation truck caught on fire while parked at Altapass Recycling Center, located in Spruce Pine. The cause of the fire is suspicious and is currently under investigation.
