'She was a great mom': Texas mother of five remembered after fatal stabbing in broad daylight
Investigators said surveillance video, witness interviews and other evidence led to the arrests of three suspects as the case remains active.

- The assault occurred at approximately 2:10 p.m. Thursday near a busy Sonic restaurant in Del Rio, according to the Del Rio Police Department. Investigators identified the three suspects using surveillance footage, physical evidence, and witness interviews.
- Friends remembered Peña, a twin and mother of five, as a loyal friend who "brought so much light." Best friend Christina Salinas, who knew Peña for eight years, said she was "born to be a mom," leaving those who loved her devastated.
- All three suspects remain at a GEO Correctional Facility pending magistration, authorities said. Detectives continue an active investigation to establish motive, and police stated additional charges may be filed as evidence gathering proceeds.
