Shapiro Administration Touts Plan To Improve Access To Affordable Childcare
The Shapiro administration is pushing an idea that it says will improve access to affordable childcare in the commonwealth. Members of the governor’s team appeared in Honesdale yesterday to tout a plan that would invest 55-million dollars in recruitment and retention grants to increase the availability of childcare and increase the pay for folks performing that service. The plan is part of Governor Shapiro’s 2025 – 2026 budget proposal.
