Shane Roemeling, battling cancer, sees his car in Victory Lane for first time

GRAND FORKS — Shane Roemeling was diagnosed with cancer last summer. The 52-year-old sprint car driver from Grand Forks traveled to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., to have a hand-sized tumor between his lung and heart removed.
