Sex offender back on dating apps days after return to community

Summary by Ground News
A Dunedin sex offender has been caught using dating apps just days after he returned to the community. Michael John Danyon Fraser was sentenced to two years and three months' imprisonment in March after pleading guilty to assault with intent to commit sexual violation, strangulation and assaulting a female. However, he was recently released back into the community after successfully appealing for a replacement sentence of home detention. Corrections will now apply to the courts for stricter conditions around Fraser, to ensure he does not victimise any other women on its watch.
