Seven flotilla activists detained in Israel arrive back in UK
The group alleged abuse in detention and said more than 50 boats carried only a token amount of aid, while Israel rejected the claims.
Seven activists returned to London Stansted on Saturday after Israeli forces deported them, following the interception of their Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters.
Activists arriving in London reported being "systematically tortured and abused over two days," while the Israel Defense Forces maintained that detainees were treated "appropriately and respectfully."
Katy Davidson, 49, from Cornwall reported handcuff injuries, while Elliott Roberts, 34, claimed he was beaten; Itamar Ben Gvir was observed smirking at detained activists.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the way Itamar Ben Gvir handled the activists was "not in line with Israel's values and norms," while authorities maintain detainees were "held in accordance with the law.
