Serena Williams to retire from tennis after U.S. Open

Summary by Ground News
Tennis legend Serena Williams announced her retirement in a Vogue article published Tuesday. “I have never liked the word retirement,” Williams wrote. “Maybe the best word to describe what I’m up to is evolution. I’m here to tell you that I’m evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me.” The announcement comes a day after the 40-year-old won her first singles match in 430 days. She won her last Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open.
