Section of busy Route 1 in N.J. shut down following water main break

A section of Route 1 in Edison has been closed for hours after a water main break.Crews have been on the scene working to repair the water main since about 10 a.m., Edison Mayor Sam Joshi said in an Instagram post. In the post, a video shared by the mayor shows water bursting out from a pipe near the highway median and pouring onto both sides of the road.
