SINT-ANNALAND (ANP) - The Zeeland water board Scheldestromen will start strengthening the dike at Sint-Annaland (municipality of Tholen) at the end of September. This work had previously been postponed to investigate whether the protected natterjack toad lives in the area. This investigation has shown that there are indeed toads in the area. That is why the board is putting up screens to prevent the animals from entering the construction site.
