Saratoga County contractor charged with grand larceny

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — State Police of Clifton Park recently arrested Dakota Smith of Malta for third-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheme to defraud. According to police, Troopers received a complaint from a Clifton Park resident concerning a possible contractor scam. The investigation determined Smith, 28, the owner of DAS Builders & Remodeling LLC., who was acting as a contractor, entered into an agreement with the victim to complete a h
