Santa Cruz City Schools seeks candidates for district board seat

Following the resignation of a longtime district board member, Santa Cruz City Schools is asking the public for interested candidates to fill the open seat, which represents the Capitola area.

4 candidates vie for 2 seats on the Mountain View Whisman School District board

It turns out there will be a contested election for Mountain View Whisman’s school board after all. Although initially, only the two incumbents stepped forward to run, a pair of additional candidates ended up jumping into the race before the filing period closed on Aug. 7.
