Sanok, a city in the Podkarpackie region, has a population of approximately 38,000, and in just a few years, over 70% of its district heating needs will be met by electrification based on renewable sources. Known for its own brand of buses, the city also plans to produce green hydrogen. "Smaller towns are prime candidates for faster decarbonization," says Anna Kornecka, president of the company responsible for the ambitious investment.
