A new organization in Italy’s Veneto region is reportedly seeking to resolve disputes between Muslims according to Sharia rather than Italian law. The right-wing Liga party has taken the issue to the European Parliament, calling for tighter controls and an end to EU funding for groups it links to fundamentalism.
