Salvation Army prepares shelters for cold weather

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) - The Salvation Army of Johnson City and others in the Tri-Cities will continue their white flag program in the winter season. A white flag will be flown outside of Salvation Army shelters when temperatures drop to 35 degrees. In the Tri-Cities, shelters can be found in Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol.
