Prince Edward County supervisors will put the choice of a 1% sales tax increase in the hands of voters later this year. The board voted 7-1 at its July 15 meeting to put a referendum on the November ballots which, if passed, would levy an additional local sales and use tax of up to 1% for school capital projects.
