Retail turnover up, but volume down
Retailers in the Netherlands generated more turnover in February than a year earlier, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reports. Total turnover in retail sales rose by 1.6 percent, after a 3.6 percent increase in January. However, the volume, or the amount of goods or food they sold, was 0.9 percent lower than a year ago. Online sales were 3.8 percent higher.
