- Ten players aged 25 or younger will compete in the skills competition for a $1 million prize. Each team roster features 11 players, with the winning squad receiving a $2 million cash prize.
- Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly confirmed Russian players are eligible for the World team. Participating squads will compete in 3-on-3 round-robin exhibition games to determine the champion.
- Bettman addressed succession planning, stating discussions have occurred over recent years but nothing is imminent. He described the All-Star format as a potential prelude to the 2028 World Cup of Hockey.
