- Among those freed were journalist Dmytro Khilyuk, former Kherson mayor Volodymyr Mykolayenko, and defenders from Mariupol plus personnel from Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.
- The swap provided rare hope for families, as freed Russian servicemen received medical and psychological care in Belarus, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted photos of smiling returnees and thanked the UAE.
- The UAE reported its 17 mediations have freed 4,641 prisoners, but some 37,000 remain missing and at least 16,000 Ukrainian civilians are detained in Russia without a legal framework for civilian detainees.
