NGOs show concern about the number of journalists who have been injured while covering protests against raids in Los Angeles.
On Monday, 9 June, a CNN team was arrested by the Los Angeles police while covering riots against Trump's migration policy. On the same day, a photographer from the New York Post and an Australian journalist were targeted by flashball shots. At least 31 cases of violence against journalists have been reported by RSF since 6 June, 27 of them involving law enforcement officials.
According to information verified by RSF with the help of its local partner, the Los Angeles Press Club, there have been at least 27 incidents of violence against journalists during the protests since June 6.
