Rome Approves Agreement to Move Forward With $1.73 Million Garrard Park

Residents on Rome’s west side can expect a new place to gather later this year as plans move ahead for the construction of Garrard Park at the former General Electric property. The Rome City Commission recently approved an agreement with the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority that clears the way for the project, and officials say the park’s design phase has now been completed.
