AIKEN COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA, JUL 15 – The $75 million expansion will add 60 jobs and boost production of mtu Series 4000 engines used for backup power amid a 50% sales increase last year, Rolls-Royce said.
- Rolls-Royce is investing $75 million to enlarge its production plant in Aiken, South Carolina, which will lead to the creation of 60 additional jobs.
- The expansion builds on production at the Aiken facility, which has been operational since 2010, and is intended to support the increasing need for dependable energy solutions manufactured within the United States.
- Work on the first phase will begin in early 2026, adding 37,000 square feet, with production scheduled to start in July 2027 and a second phase planned later.
