FORT MILL, SC – The second chemical spill in less than a week at the Silfab Solar plant prompted a halt of operations and closure of nearby Flint Hill Elementary School. According to state health officials, the first mistake happened on Tuesday when around 300-gallons of Potassium Hydroxide spilled out of the solar plant. Another chemical spill was reported Thursday morning, hours before class was to start at Flint Hill Elementary.
