Ridge Dam downgraded from emergency to alert status - The Tribune

PEDRO — The Wayne National Forest has downgraded the emergency response level at Timbre Ridge Dam in Pedro to an internal alert status. The lake area was closed in May to ensure public safety after heavy rainfall created a slump, or portion of earth that moves downslope, on the face of the dam.  The dam pool was drawn down by 17 to 20 feet to reach the lowest point of the slump so personnel could determine necessary repairs.  The forest continue…
