- In the new role, Weeks will evaluate draft-eligible and international players by attending tryouts and tournaments, while the Brewers organization redistributes his coaching duties without a replacement.
- Weeks said he will miss relationships with players and staff and will refocus in a new capacity to help the club gain wins with future growth.
- A 14-year MLB veteran, Weeks made the NL All-Star team in 2011 and transitions after the Brewers' playoff run this year, beating the Chicago Cubs before losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
