Taskmaster' Richard Herring Announces 'Incurable' Cancer Diagnosis
Richard Herring said the blood cancer is incurable but treatable, and he has started chemotherapy after doctors tracked abnormal bone marrow cells for years.
Comedian Richard Herring revealed to his Substack followers that he has received a second cancer diagnosis, this time blood cancer called hairy cell leukaemia, which he described as "incurable".
Doctors found cells in Richard's bone marrow about 12 years ago, but the condition remained stable for five years of testing before worsening.
Clarifying the blood cancer bears no connection to his earlier testicular cancer, Richard joked that "Someone up there just doesn't like me."
Following his initial chemotherapy session, Richard described his NHS encounters throughout his Substack post, reassuring supporters the condition is manageable through treatment.
With characteristic humour, Richard joked he will use the fact he has incurable cancer "for all it's worth" for the rest of his life on Substack.
