Like some 50 town halls, the ecologist municipality had raised him on Monday 22 September at the front line of his town hall to accompany France's recognition of the State of Palestine.
Administrative justice issued its decision this Thursday regarding the pavoissement of Lyon City Hall with the Palestinian flag. The town hall must proceed with its withdrawal under financial penalty.
The Rhône prefecture had brought an action before the administrative court following the establishment of the Palestinian flag on Lyon City Hall. The court found that this was a serious violation of the principle of neutrality of public services.
By decision of the administrative court, the City of Lyon withdrew the Palestinian flags from the frontons of the Town Hall, and from the town halls of borough ecologists. See more
