The state of Tyrol, as the lead authority for the environmental impact assessment (EIA), has given the green light to the "Southern Lienz Connection" high-voltage power line project with a positive EIA decision. The €280 million project by Austria Power Grid (APG) involves upgrading the existing 220 kV line between the Lienz substation and Italy, according to a press release issued on Friday. The line is scheduled to be operational by 2031.
