Two 13-year-olds found dead after drowning in Jordan River
13-year-old Hala Azzam and Iman Khir were on a family vacation without their parents and went missing for several hours. Another relative who was also missing was found and called rescue forces, who later recovered the bodies of the two young girls

Hala Azzam and Iman Khair entered the river with another girl, who managed to get out and report them missing; rescue teams searched the water, banks and riverbed for hours, locating both girls dead about two hours apart
After several hours of extensive searches, during which aerial and underwater scans were conducted by numerous teams, Hala and Iman were found, and were pronounced dead at the scene. The two had been hanging out in the river near the Bashan flames, and after contact with them was lost, their friends reported them missing.
