Poland To Put 43 Russian Experts On Wanted List

15 years after the Smolensk air disaster, in which former Polish President Lech Kaczynski and almost the entire political and military leadership of the country died, Polish prosecutors are demanding the arrest of 43 Russian forensic experts, whom they accuse of falsifying the victims' autopsies.

The Polish prosecutor's office launches an international search and detention of 41 Russian forensic experts who participated in autopsies of the victims of the Smolensk disaster. Investigators believe that the experts provided false testimony that affected the investigation of the tragedy, Radio Poland reports.

Polish prosecutors are seeking the arrest of 43 Russian forensic experts they suspect of falsifying forensic reports in the Smolensk plane crash that killed former Warsaw leader Lech Kaczynski, his wife and his entire military command.

During the PiS government, the prosecutor's office wanted to arrest the Smolensk flight controllers. During the PO government, investigators want to charge Russian medics with writing lies in the autopsy documents of the victims. The result will be the same: none.

The Russian side is not cooperating: repeated requests to interrogate experts have gone unanswered, and Moscow has refused to officially announce the charges against them.
