Electricity generation from solar and wind power in Turkey reached an all-time high in August, totaling 9.9 billion kilowatt-hours. The two sources accounted for 27 percent of total production, with renewable energy sources providing more than half of the electricity generated.
According to TEİAŞ data, electricity production from renewable energy sources in the first three quarters of 2026 accounted for 60.3% of the national total, recording an all-time high for the period.
