Since there is insolvency proceedings against FC Dornbirn, it was decided that the Vorarlbergers would have to step down. Now, however, the role is backward. The decision was withdrawn by the Commission of the Regionalliga West. The result is an unplanned increase in the league with more games.
In order to avoid a dispute, the forced descent of the former secondary team from Vorarlberg will not be completed. Also the penultimate Kufstein remains above. The league will be increased from 16 to 17 participants in the last year of its existence.
The last three-way season with the federal states of Tyrol, Vorarlberg and Salzburg is completed in the Regionalliga West with 17 teams. The clubs voted for FC Dornbirn.
