- On Thursday, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 17 5G in India, targeting mid-segment buyers with a focus on battery longevity and durability.
- Xiaomi equipped the Redmi Note 17 with a massive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest ever fitted inside a Redmi smartphone, squeezed into an 8.4mm-thick body.
- The phone features a 6.9-inch TrueColour AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness, powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset with up to 8GB RAM.
- Xiaomi promises four years of OS updates and six years of security patches targeting 48 months of lag-free usage, with the Redmi Note 17 5G starting at ₹27,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
- The device includes IP65 dust and water resistance plus Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, while Xiaomi claims the battery retains at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, supporting up to three days of typical usage.
