ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The City of Altoona is purchasing a plot of land in the Cricket Knoll area of the city in hopes of building new housing there. Redevelopment Authority Purchases Land In Altoona For Housing

The Altoona Redevelopment Authority has bought nearly 18 acres of land in the Cricket Knoll neighborhood located off Juniata Gap Road.  Reportedly, the purchase was made to install infrastructure to attract a developer to build 40-plus homes in that area.
