The Taliban's Red Crescent Society in the northern zone says it has distributed cash aid to 750 farmers affected by the drought. Cash aid will also be distributed to farmers in Dolat Abad district of Balkh province in two days. This is the second year that Afghanistan has been facing severe drought. According to the United Nations, the drought has hit farmers in the north of the country the hardest.
