Radiance Technologies Strengthens Innovation Capability with Strategic Acquisition of Phased n Research

On March 31, 2025, Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned defense contractor based in Huntsville, Alabama, announced the acquisition of Phased n Research, a nationally recognized radar and electronic warfare company.
Radiance Technologies, founded in 1999, serves the Department of Defense and the intelligence community, offering services such as research and development, modeling and simulation, and cybersecurity solutions.
The acquisition of Phased n Research, established in 2018, will expand Radiance Technologies' capacity to deliver end-to-end multi-domain platforms and solutions for national security customers.
According to Radiance CEO Bill Bailey, "By joining forces with Phasedn, we strengthen our ability to provide advanced radar, modeling, and EW solutions while fostering our employee-ownership culture."
As part of the acquisition, Phased n Research will operate as a subsidiary of Radiance, with Mark Tillman, Radiance's Vice President of Simulation Strategy, appointed as President of Phasedn, while Bassem Mahafza, Phased n Research's founder and CEO, will transition to an emeritus and strategic advisor role.
