Quercus wants the government to adopt an action plan to control the increase of the boars and not just to encourage their slaughter. The organization points to the loss of natural habitat and the regression of the Iberian wolf as contributing factors to the dispersion of the animals.

The Association considers it insufficient to encourage the slaughter of wild boars and advocates a plan that includes agriculture, hunting, land and biodiversity.

The environmental organization Quercus today advocated the creation of a "structured and comprehensive" plan to control the increase of boars in urban areas, considering the government's pilot project to encourage slaughter to be insufficient.
