Queens of the Stone Age's Michael Shuman on the Band's Upcoming Tour Down Under
The band’s first new song since 2023 arrives with guest vocals from Nikki Lane and a tour supported by Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm.
- On Wednesday, Queens of the Stone Age released "Easy Street" on Matador Records, a psychedelic single featuring guest vocals from Nikki Lane and produced by frontman Josh Homme and Michael Shuman.
- The track debuted live last year during "The Catacombs Tour" and marks the band's first new music since 2023's "In Times New Roman" album.
- Built with acoustic guitar and psychedelic synths, the song deliberately embraces imperfections; Homme explained, "It's like hitting your funny bone, where it's funny because it hurts." The accompanying video, directed by Tony Wolski and Christopher Gruse, features a mall Santa and the band as characters.
- Alongside the single, the band announced a six-date Australian arena tour for December 2026 with Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm supporting. General tickets go on sale Monday, July 20 at 11am, following artist presale Thursday at 11am.
- Currently touring Europe with System of a Down, the band will join Foo Fighters for North American stadium dates later this year and recently announced their first Iceland return since 2005 for an October 24 show.
