PUCO should say ‘no’ to FirstEnergy’s power-restoration extension request

This is in response to your Sunday, Jan. 11, front-page story about FirstEnergy Corp. requesting more time to restore power during an outage (“Utility wants to let outages last longer, happen more often”). The story reported that the first evidentiary hearing before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio will be Jan. 21. I strongly oppose this request.I live in a nice neighborhood in Bay Village with underground electric lines. Service has not …
