Courteous, the president of the Socialist Group at the Assembly finally chose Faure rather than Mayer-Rossignol, without however giving a voting instruction for 5 June.
Arrived third in the first round, the group president at the assembly announced on Sunday that he will vote for the outgoing first secretary, his former ally, on the second scheduled Thursday.
Courted by the first outgoing secretary as by the mayor of Rouen, Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, the Member of Parliament of the Landes reveals in "le Monde" his vote "in his personal capacity", but refuses to give instructions to his supporters.
The president of the PS group in the National Assembly wishes to retain the current First Secretary.
"My choice is not a deed," explains the leader of the Socialist MPs.
