German-Ukrainian Venture to Expand Drone Output for Kyiv
The deal expands output of the Linza strike drone and Zoom reconnaissance drone, with deliveries set for 2027, Quantum Systems said.
- On October 5, National Guard commander Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko signed a contract with Quantum Frontile Industries managing director Matthias Lehna and Frontline Robotics CTO Pavlo Kosolapkin to build Linza and Zoom drones in Germany.
- Quantum Frontline Industries, a joint venture of Frontline Robotics and Quantum Systems, manufactures Ukraine-proven designs in Germany to scale production as it moves from initial ramp-up toward sustained high-volume manufacturing.
- Linza 3.0 carries up to 4 kg of payload with a 15 km range and 60-minute endurance, while Zoom 3.0 detects targets and corrects fire under active Russian jamming using AI-driven navigation.
- This follow-on agreement exceeds the volume of the 2026 contract and schedules delivery for 2027, supporting more than 60 Ukrainian units already utilizing the systems.
- Refining designs based on feedback from Ukrainian troops, Frontline Robotics is increasing production capacity for next year to ensure the systems continue meeting evolving operational requirements.
