“They cannot be silenced, we will be here. Even if the Orbán government is no more,” said Viktor Szalóki, head of the aHang civil society organization, at the end of their demonstration in Budapest today. The organization has been holding demonstrations in 17 cities in recent days against the draft law, which they call the “impediment law.” The protest will continue in Kecskemét tomorrow.
aHang calls on people to take to the streets after the Orbán government, hiding behind the label of transparency, sent a declaration of war to everyone who disagrees with it.
In just two weeks, aHang will demonstrate in seventeen cities against the repression of civilians and newspapers.
