Protection and sustainability – request for an earlier season opening of Sognefjellet

The wild reindeer is our common wild animal that we are obliged to protect. Luster municipality wants an earlier season opening of highway 55 over Sognefjellet. The question is whether the wild reindeer must lose out to the tourism industry and the parishes' desire for earlier access to Ottadalen – and can we afford it?
